Call Of Duty Zombies (also known as CODZ), is a fan-created horror video game series based on the popular Call Of Duty series. The games follow a basic storyline, which is that the player is trapped in an “endless” horde mode type scenario, fighting off endless waves of zombies in a closed environment with the goal of surviving as long as possible until they die. The first game was created by a group of modders who wanted to make their own version of the game and went by the name Treyarch. It was originally released on PC but eventually found its way to consoles.
The storyline revolves around a group of four survivors that are left behind when a zombie outbreak occurs within an abandoned military base, known as Der Riese, located in Germany during World War II. The player takes on one of these characters and has to fight against endless waves of zombies until they are able to escape from the base or kill all enemies within it.
